Accessibility Statement
(Status of this statement: July 11, 2025)
Bueltel Worldwide Fashion GmbH & Co. KG strives to make its website www.camelactive.com accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). The requirements for accessibility arise from the BFSG, particularly from §14 BFSG in conjunction with §3 paragraph 1 BFSG and the Regulation on the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV).In the technical implementation, we follow the internationally recognized Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, conformance levels A and AA. This accessibility statement applies to the website: www.camelactive.com.
Status of Compatibility with the Requirements
This website is partially compliant with the conformance level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1” as well as with the applicable European standard EN 301 549 due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.
Non-accessible Content
Some content currently does not fully meet accessibility standards. The following content is not accessible:
- Text display: The contrast between text color and background color is not sufficient in all cases, which makes it difficult for people with visual impairments to read and access the information.
- Language: Some texts, headings, or links appear in the wrong language.
- Description of images: Many images on our website lack alternative text, which is necessary for accessible use. Our current focus is to provide alternative text for our product images and frequently used images.
- Description of graphical controls: Not all graphical interface elements have alternative text. Some graphics lack both visible and invisible labels, making it difficult for blind users to navigate using screen readers.
- Description of videos: Videos do not include audio descriptions or full-text alternatives. The labels for embedded video graphics are not clear to blind users, making orientation difficult.
- Logical structure and layout of pages: The hierarchy of HTML heading elements from H1 to H6 is not always logical, which impairs orientation for blind users. Additionally, not all text sections/paragraphs are marked with appropriate HTML structural elements.
- Use of forms: Not all input fields include an autocomplete attribute, which would simplify data entry—especially for users with motor impairments—by offering easily selectable suggestions.
- Third-party components: Some features and content on this website are based on external plugins and extensions within the e-commerce system. These are provided by third parties, and we have no direct influence over their accessibility. Such components may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Examples include third-party payment or shipping modules. We strive to identify known issues and mitigate them through semantically correct code, alternative content, or technical adaptations where possible.
The content listed above is not accessible for the following reasons:
Identified deficiencies and shortcomings are currently undergoing continuous improvement and are being addressed step by step. Our extensive image and video archive is being updated gradually. Due to the scope of work, this process is still ongoing.
