What does teXXXactive® stand for?
teXXXactive® is our weatherproof technology for outdoor and functional jackets as well as footwear. Every jacket is waterproof (at least 5,000 mm water column), windproof and breathable. A waterproof membrane, a PFC-free water-repellent outer fabric, and taped seams keep rain out while allowing moisture to escape from the inside. The result: reliable protection in wind and rain.
How can I recognize a teXXXactive® functional jacket for men?
Our teXXXactive® products can be identified by the yellow performance hangtag on the sleeve. Many models also feature a reflective teXXXactive® print on the outside. In our online shop, you’ll also see “teXXXactive®” listed clearly in the product name and description so you can identify the right jacket straight away.
How do I care for men’s functional jackets properly?
Always follow the care instructions on the label to maintain waterproofness and breathability. Only wash the jacket when necessary – frequent washing reduces the impregnation. If washing is needed, use low temperatures, no fabric softener, and air dry. This way, the functionality remains intact and your jacket lasts for many seasons.
Are teXXXactive® men’s functional jackets really waterproof?
Yes. Every teXXXactive® jacket has a minimum 5,000 mm water column and fully taped seams. That means you’ll stay dry even in heavy rain, while the breathable fabric ensures excess moisture can still escape from inside.
How often should I renew the impregnation of my teXXXactive® jacket?
The water-repellent finish on a jacket will gradually wear off through use and washing. A simple test: if water no longer beads up on the surface, it’s time to reproof. You can easily do this yourself with a wash-in treatment or a spray-on water repellent. That way, your jacket stays reliably water-resistant.
